UNC players involved in probe not available to media

CHAPEL HILL

The NCAA is investigating whether Marvin Austin and Greg Little received improper benefits from agents. However, UNC has not confirmed which two players are involved in the investigation.

Austin is a defensive tackle from Washington, D.C. and Little is a wide receiver from Durham and graduate of Hillside High School. Both of the players are seniors.

It's unclear whether they'll be able to join the Tar Heels less than a month from now for the season opener or beyond.

Dick Baddour, Carolina's athletic director, told the Associated Press Thursday that investigators are on campus. However, he did not reveal specifics about their visit.

Baddour says UNC is participating in the investigation and working to get it resolved quickly.

The NCAA has not given UNC a timetable on when any disciplinary action might be taken.
