The memorial garden is called Coaches Corner and is located next to Reynolds Coliseum. It features a garden and a bust of Coach Yow set on a pink granite pedestal.
Yow died in 2009 from breast cancer at the age of 66. Her sister, Debbie, who now serves as the university's athletic director, attended the dedication.
Kay Yow had served as the NCSU women's basketball coach since 1975.
