Aircraft crashes in Dare County

DARE COUNTY The aircraft, which was registered in Florida, ran off the end of Dare County Airport runway into Croatan Sound after landing on the wet runway around 8:30 a.m.

Two people were taken to the hospital and five others had minor injuries.

Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating the crash.
