Pedestrian hit by car in Raleigh

RALEIGH It happened around 7:30 p.m. at South Wilmington Street at Chapanoke Road.

Police say the man tried crossing the street outside a crosswalk and was hit.

The man suffered head and leg injuries and was taken to WakeMed for treatment.

Further details about the incident have not been released at this time.
