Gas leak creates emergency situation

KNIGHTDALE A strong odor reported near the intersection of 540 and Knightdale Boulevard triggered it all.

Firefighters say the leak was discovered around 6:30 p.m. near a relief valve outside Hardees.

Officials say the problem is now fixed and service has been restored to the area.
