Defensive tackle Quinton Coples earned first-team honors, while offensive guard Jonathan Cooper and linebacker Bruce Carter were selected for the second team. Wide receiver Dwight Jones, tailback Johnny White, place-kicker Casey Barth and quarterback T.J. Yates received honorable mention.
Coples, a Kinston native, is the only defensive tackle in the league in the top 10 in both sacks (8.5) and tackles for losses (14.0). He ranks fourth on the team with 53 tackles and has 10 quarterback pressures.
Carter, a senior from Havelock, posted 57 tackles, blocked a punt and one interception. He was recently named as a finalist for the Butkus Award, which is annually presented to the nation's best linebacker.
Cooper, a sophomore from Wilmington, was the team's top performing offensive lineman. He started every game this season.
T.J. Yates ranks second in the ACC in passing yards, pass efficiency and total offense. The Marietta, Ga., native also led the league with a 67.6 percent completion rate. Yates completed 259 of 383 attempts for 3,184 yards and 18 touchdowns on the season.
Burlington native Jones ranked fourth in the league with 74.6 yards per game, while racking up 895 yards on 57 catches.
White led the Tar Heels with 720 yards rushing, an average of 80.0 per game. White, a native of Asheville, averaged 112.0 all-purpose yards, which ranked fifth in the ACC. He missed the last three games with an fractured clavicle.
Barth converted 16 of 19 field goal attempts this season, including a long of 49. He made all 35 extra point attempts this season and is the current school record-holder with 68 consecutive extra points made.
North Carolina State players George Bryan, Russell Wilson, Owen Spencer and Nate Irving also made the All-ACC teams.
Bryan, a junior from Castle Hayne, N.C., made the first team with 344 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns as a tight end.
Junior quarterback Russell Wilson, who is from Richmond, Va., landed on the second team after completing 58.1% of his passes with 26 touchdowns to 14 interceptions.
Spencer, a Leland, N.C. native, finished with 868 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns. The senior wide receiver is also on the second team.
The Wolfpack defense benefitted from the return of senior linebacker Nate Irving, who missed the 2009 season after a car accident. The Wallace, North Carolina native finished the regular season with 88 total tackles, 6 quarterback sacks and 2 fumbles forced.
One Duke Blue Devil player was named to the second team. Wide receiver Conner Vernon, a sophomore from Miami, Fl., finished the season with 973 yards and 4 touchdowns.
