Police searching for shooting suspect

Authorities are trying to find the suspect who they say fired the shots that killed a Durham man.They say 20-year-old Rashad Ahmad Adams is wanted in connection with a shooting at a house on Cortez Street near Angier Avenue. It happened just after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday December 29.

Investigators say 21-year-old James Holsclaw was wounded in the gunfire. He later died at the hospital.

While investigating the incident, authorities found large amounts of marijuana and stolen weapons inside the house.

Adams has a lengthy criminal history and is currently on supervised probation for a felony drug conviction.

He may be driving dark colored Lincoln or Crown Victoria styled vehicle with an unknown tag number.

Deputies say he is considered armed and dangerous and possibly in possession of firearm.
