ABC11 has learned the Home Depot store just off the Highway 64 Bypass in Rocky Mount is closing.A Home Depot corporate spokesperson says 89 people work at that location, but the company will try to relocate those employees.

Employees were notified about the closure on Tuesday.

The home improvement store is shutting down the Rocky Mount location as well as a store in Greenville, because they aren't expected to meet long term financial goals.

Both stores will be open during liquidation, which will take about six to eight weeks.
