Multi-car pile-up causes major traffic delays

DURHAM It happened around 7 p.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near Briggs Avenue.

At least four cars were involved in the wreck including two that wound up facing the wrong way.

Police had to shut down off-ramps and divert traffic off the freeway, while they cleaned up the mess.

Officials haven't said if anyone was hurt or what caused the crash.
