Michael Vick cancels interview with Oprah

A spokesperson with Harpo Productions, says Vick's representatives called Tuesday night "to cancel his appearance for personal reasons."

Vick's publicist, who's based in Raleigh, tells ABC11 the interview was canceled for "personal and professional reasons," but Vick hopes to reschedule the interview sometime in the future.

"After careful consideration, I will need to postpone the taping of the Oprah Winfrey interview scheduled for February 22," said Vick in a statement. "I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future."

It would've been Vick's most high profile TV interview since he returned to the NFL after serving time in federal prison for being convicted of sponsoring a dog fighting ring.

The interview was set to take place next week and air on February 24.
