Body found outside Rocky Mount home

ROCKY MOUNT Rocky Mount Police say a man walking his dog found the body of a man around 7:30 a.m. next to a home on Greystone Dr. near Stillwater Dr. in the Wedgewood Subdivision.

Police have not released any identification and details surrounding the man's death are unclear at this time.

Residents say officers were knocking on doors soon after the discovery, asking if they heard shots fired overnight.

Further details have not been released.
