Woman wanted in connection with murder

FAYETTEVILLE

Anne Marie Bailey, 33, also known as Ann Marie Carpenter is wanted for first-degree murder.

On Thursday, police arrested her husband, Jimmy Bailey, for first-degree murder. He was found at the Amtrak Train Station across from the police department. He is being held without bond.

Authorities say evidence indicates the Baileys are responsible for last summer's murder of 30-year-old Angel Pesante-Ventura.

On September 27, 2010, Pesante-Ventura's body was discovered off of Plank Road on Fort Bragg. Family members reported him missing on September 17.

Investigators say the murder happened in Fayetteville. Pesante-Ventura was staying at a residence with Jimmy Bailey on the evening Pesante-Ventura was killed, which is estimated to be between September 12 and 13. Detectives say following the murder, Pesante-Ventura's body was dropped off at Plank Road.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ann Marie Bailey is asked to call 911 or CrimeStoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
