Missing woman found safe in VA Beach

FAYETTEVILLE

Police had been searching for 23-year-old Sophia Hanchett after her older sister, Emelia Noa, said her intuition told her something was very wrong.

"She would always make contact with me," Noa told ABC11 Thursday. "She would never just leave for days at a time and never make contact with me, so I feel something is not right."

Hanchett was last heard from on Monday. Her family said the last thing the former model and accomplished artist, who advertised her portrait drawings on Craigslist, told her sister was that she was sitting in her car in the parking lot at Cross Creek Mall waiting to meet a client she created some sketches for.

When Hanchett didn't return home, missed a family gathering Tuesday, and didn't show up for Wednesday night services at her church, her family called police.

The Fayetteville Police Department announced Friday that Hanchett had been located in Virginia Beach, VA in good health and that no further investigation was needed.
