The "bait car" was parked along a rural road in Cumberland County on Oct. 25 when the suspect targeted the car around 2:30 a.m.
The suspect stole a laptop computer, in-dash radio, camera, cell phone and GPS.
The suspect is described as a man with tattoos on both arms and has a short beard.
Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at (910) 323-1500.
