Video from Chopper 11 HD showed smoke pouring from the roof of the home in the 500 block of Annandale Dr. in the MacGregor Downs subdivision.
That's near the US-1/US-64 split in southeast Cary.
One person in the home was treated for smoke inhalation. The man said he was burning a fire in the fireplace of the home when the blaze started, but the exact cause remains under investigation.
