Moore Co. police officer indicted on rape charges

ROBBINS, N.C.

State Bureau of Investigation agents arrested Travis Baker Monday and transported him to the Moore County Jail.

A Moore County grand jury indicted Baker on a list of charges including rape, sexual battery and obstruction of justice.

The attorney general's office says the incident that led to the charges happened in August but wouldn't go into details. However, court documents show that Baker traded sex for getting out of a ticket.

The AG's office also indicted Baker Monday for identity theft.
