Another victim comes forward in alleged sexual assault case

CLAYTON, N.C.

Clayton police said Friday that another victim, who has not been identified, has now come forward with sexual assault claims against 29-year-old Paul Canally.

Detectives have charged Canally with four felonious counts of indecent liberties with a minor.

Last week, authorities arrested Canally and charged him with five felonious counts of statutory rape, five felonious counts of indecent liberties with a child and eight misdemeanor counts of sexual battery.

The next day, police filed additional charges against the former teacher after a second victim came forward. He was charged with two counts of statutory rape and soliciting a child by computer after allegedly messaging the victim on Facebook.

All three victims have been between the ages of 13 and 16-years-old and are not related to Canally. The incidents allegedly took place during April 2010 and December 2011.

Canally is a former science teacher at Archer Lodge Middle School. He also worked as a summer camp counselor.

He is currently at the Johnston County Jail under more than a $2,000,000 bond.
