A teenager was running across Capital Boulevard just before 11:30 a.m. when a vehicle struck him, according to Raleigh Police.

Officers said 18-year-old Kyle Haskins was hit by a southbound vehicle, and smashed his head on the windshield before hitting the pavement. Officials said the Raleigh teen suffered serious injuries.

The accident report indicated that a "Do Not Walk" indicator was lit while Haskins tried to cross the four-lane road.
