There were some tense moments Friday afternoon after a flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Delta Express flight 5398 from Atlanta and New Bern, with 46 people aboard, was diverted to RDU because of an engine problem around 4:30 p.m.

The pilot landed the CRJ200 plane at RDU as a precaution because it has a longer runway.

Passengers were taken from RDU to New Bern via bus to complete their trip.
