The pair called authorities in Fayetteville just before 3 p.m. Wednesday and told officials a man driving a Lincoln Town Car was following them.
A short time later, police officers stopped the pair, who were in a Honda, and the Lincoln on Hope Mills Road.
The driver of the Lincoln told authorities that he was following the two men because he believed they were connected to a break-in in the 1800 block of Camelot Drive.
Following an investigation, authorities were able to confirm the information and arrested 18-year-old Marquel Sinclair and 20-year-old Jean Maldonado.
Both are charged with breaking and entering and conspiracy.
