It happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday outside a BP gas station in the 100 block of N.C. Highway 86 north, near Hillsborough.
According to eyewitnesses, a man was shot in the stomach and paramedics rushed him to the hospital.
However, there's no word on the victim's condition, or if any arrests have been made.
