HENDERSON --
Police said a shooting in Henderson wounded one man and killed another. It happened around 3:30 p.m. near Springwood Apartments. Police said 25-year-old Gregory Welfare of Raleigh died. 22-year-old LaJohn Champion was hospitalized. Police have not released the condition of Champion or what led to the shooting.
