Homeowners said Sandy brought a whole lot more than just wind and rain. The ocean has been stripping away sand, land and their home's foundations.
And while some try to figure out how or even if it's worth making repairs, others marvel at the depressing power of Mother Nature.
"This isn't even a big one, and just look at what it's done to this end of the island," said homeowner Tim McClain. "Just amazing, very sad -- tough to look at."
