December 28, 2012 10:38:58 AM PST
Duke/Progress Energy blamed a squirrel getting into substation electrical equipment for an outage that left more than 11,000 customers without power Friday morning.

The problem was reported around 9:30, and power was restored in about an hour.

The Town of Cary said traffic lights knocked out by the outage were also functioning again.
