Suspect sought in attempted bank robbery

FAYETTEVILLE

Detectives said a man entered the BB&T bank in the 2500 block of Bragg Boulevard around 10 a.m. with his face covered.

He reportedly had a weapon, but left the bank without taking any money.

The man then drove away in a black mini-van towards Fort Bragg Road, according to detectives.

He was described as a white man with a medium build, standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall.

The suspect was last seen wearing a blue bandanna across his face, a brown jacket, and a ball cap.
