Police search for second suspect in armed robbery

DURHAM

Members of the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested 22-year-old Andre Marquis Owens in Greensboro on charges stemming from a November armed robbery and several burglaries in September that took place in Durham.

Authorities said the November 2012 armed robbery happened on Macon Street, while the September 2012 burglaries happened on Fairlawn Road, Vineyard Street and Penzance Avenue.

Owens has been charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of felony conspiracy to commit robbery, three counts of felony breaking and entering, three counts of larceny after breaking and entering, three counts of obtaining property by false pretense, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of injury to property.

Investigators are still looking for 22-year-old Vincent Ramone Sowell Jr., of Durham, in connection with the robbery on Macon Street. He is wanted on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.
