Greensboro police said Sandra Palmer shot her 14-year-old son, her daughter, and the children's father before turning the gun on herself Monday morning.
UNC sophomore Danielle Jameison and her father are recovering from their injuries, but 14-year-old Maurice Edwards died in the shooting.
A candlelight service to honor the teen was held Sunday at Oak Ridge Methodist Church in Greensboro.
