Police also charged 20-year-old Logan Winkles with consuming alcohol by a person under 21 after he was stopped Saturday morning just before 3 a.m. at Dan Allen Drive and Western Boulevard in Raleigh.
Winkles started four games last year for the Wolfpack.
He is scheduled to be in court next month.
