Police said 19-year-old Joshua Maultsby was shot near the Tallywood shopping center around 12:30 p.m. Police are not exactly sure where, but told ABC11 it could have been on a number of neighboring streets.
Maultsby was transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officials believe robbery was the motive.
The suspect is described as a black male aged 19-22 years old with a dark complexion and stocky build who is approximately 6-feet tall.
