Missing 8-year-old girl found safe

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.

Leniyah Parker was sitting in the office of Lucille Souders Elementary School on Hillside Road in Fayetteville around 3:24 p.m. waiting for someone to pick her up and take her home.

A white female approached Parker and motioned for her to come with her. Both walked outside of the school and got into what is described as a white Buick with chrome stripping along the lower half of the vehicle and spoke style rims.

The victim is a black female. She was last seen wearing a white coat, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and carrying a pink book bag. She has brown eyes and black hair that is pulled back into 4 twisted pony tails.

Parker was found safe at her grandmother's house around 6:45 p.m., according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities have not said who the woman was that picked up Parker from school or if they are still searching for her.
