The board met Wednesday evening with McPherson & Jacobson, the company they hired to help them find a replacement for Tony Tata, who was fired in September.
McPherson & Jacobson has conducted more than 500 superintendent searches for school districts nationwide over the past 22 years.
The school board went over a timeline and how to advertise for the position . They also put together and made a list of qualifications of who they want in the top spot.
The board will now turn its attention to filling Debra Goldman's seat on Saturday. She resigned after moving to Wilkes County.
