Firefighters responded to the Mission Millbrook Apartment Homes, on Julie Court, around 8 p.m.
Residents said they heard sparks, smelled burning and saw smoke coming from an empty bottom unit.
There were no reports of any injuries and everyone was allowed back in their homes.
