The most recent break-in happened Wednesday at Enloe Magnet High School at 128 Clarendon Crescent.
Other break-ins occurred at Powell Elementary at 1130 Marlborough Road, and at Conn Elementary at 1220 Brookside Drive in Raleigh. All break-ins occurred overnight or during early morning hours.
Stolen items range from computers to tablet computers and other electronic gear. Added to the cost of the stolen equipment are repairs needed after each incident, including repairs to windows the thief broke to enter the buildings.
School system equipment carries identification tags that could alert any potential buyer that they are stolen property.
WCPSS is working with Raleigh police on the investigations, and patrols at schools have been beefed up. Crimestoppers is asking anyone with information about the break-ins to either call (919) 834-HELP.
