Police were called to the 600 block of Walker Street around 8:20 p.m.
Officers said a 2003 Mazda 6 swerved to avoid hitting a motorcycle. When that happened, the car hit a person walking on the opposite side of the road.
The car then hit the side of the house, which is now considered uninhabitable.
The pedestrian was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
No one in the car or the house was hurt.
At last report, no charges were filed against the driver.
