Wade Avenue near Faircloth Drive in Raleigh is now reopened following a power outage early Tuesday morning.

Wade Avenue near the Ridgewood Shopping Center was closed in both directions for several hours as North Carolina Department of Transportation crews worked to repair a damaged power pole.

Police said just after 3 a.m. a car hit the light pole causing the outage.

It would took crews almost five hours to clean up the mess. Several residents in the area were also without electricity.
