Deputies responded to a shooting at a convenient store on U.S. Highway 158 around 9 p.m.
The victim was shot once and was the passenger of a vehicle on the parking lot of the convenient store. The victim was taken to a trauma center and is listed in critical condition.
Officials said the initial investigation indicates that robbery was the motive.
Police have not released any information on a possible suspect.
