Parents of students at W.T. Brown Elementary School in Spring Lake are upset that the school is changing from a year-round to a traditional calendar. They say officials haven't told them why.
School officials have said the switch is part of a plan to reassign over 500 students, to balance out student attendance at several schools.
Many W.T. Brown parents, however, are upset. They say they chose the school because of its year round schedule.
School officials did not comment on the demonstration.
The parents say they will continue to protest until they get some kind of response from the school system.
