It happened just after 12:30 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Angelus Drive.

Raleigh police said 55-year-old Earnest McDuffy was shot in the stomach. He was taken to WakeMed and is expected to survive.
Authorities have not released details about any suspects or what may have sparked the violence.
