6 pedestrians struck after car jumps curb in Manhattan

NEW YORK

The accident happened at 4:45 p.m. at Fifth Avenue and 46th Street.

Police at the scene say the driver of the Chevy Trailblazer lost control, hydroplaned, jumped a curb and struck five people.

One was a baby in a stroller who is in serious condition at New York Presbyterian Cornell.

The driver of the SUV was also injured.

Police say none of the injuries are believed to be life threatening.
