Police said 34-year-old Julius Kenyatta Herring Sr, of 2303 Pummill Road faces 139 charges, including indecent liberties with a minor, crimes against nature and sexual offense.
Investigators determined that the abuse had occurred for the past three years. Fayetteville police said that the victim was 15 years old.
Officials also said that through his occupation, Herring was not in a position to supervise children.
Herring was processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center and jailed on a $768,000 secured bond.
