Suspect arrested in Durham fatal shooting

DURHAM, N.C.

Police charged 25-year-old Christopher Terrell Stanback, of Summit Street with murder in the June 18 shooting death of 37-year-old Jermaine Andrea McDonald.

Police were called to the 100 block of North Hyde Park Avenue at 11:40 a.m. on June 18. When they arrived, they found McDonald lying in the street. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting does not appear to be a random act, according to investigators.

On Friday police arrested Stanback at the Extended Stay America on Tower Boulevard.
