Police were called to the 100 block of South Hardin Street around 11:45 p.m. after reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they found a large crowd gathered in the street and a deceased male lying in the roadway. Police said the man died of a gunshot wound.
Officials identified the victim as 27-year-old Floyd Elmer Williams, whose last known address was in Aberdeen.
