Emergency officials responded to a shooting at the Country Hearth Inn & Suites on US-1 on Friday at approximately 10 p.m. One person was taken to a Pinehurst hospital and later died from gunshot wounds.
Officials said eyewitnesses saw the suspected shooter flee from the scene on foot.
Aberdeen police arrested 33-year-old Shelby White and 41-year-old Amanda Gaboury early Saturday morning. White is charged with first-degree murder. Gaboury faces a charge of accessory after the fact.
The victim's identity has not been released.
