Right now, it's not clear exactly how many workers at the Ramsey Street plant will be affected by the buyout.
Company-wide, Goodyear can offer up to 840 buys to workers at its six protected plants.
Those buyouts would run from $8,000 to $50,000 depending on a worker's years of service.
This provision is part of a new contract union workers overwhelmingly ratified earlier this month by a three to one margin.
Over 2,500 union members work at the Fayetteville plant. They turn out around 34,000 tires a day.
In addition, Goodyear can offer discretionary buyouts to 15 percent of the workforce at each facility.
