Investigators arrested 26-year-old Matthew Lincoln Hassell for allegedly soliciting sex from youth online.
Deputies say Hassell communicated with a child under the age of 16 on the internet and solicited sexual favors during the unit's investigation.
Hassell was released from the Wake County Jail on a $15,000 bond and made his first court appearance Monday.
During his hearing, the judge ordered Hassell to have no unsupervised contact with anyone under age of 16. His next court appearance is set for September 30th.
