Durham man charged with vandalizing police cars

A 46-year-old Durham man has been accused of slashing the back tires on three marked police cars last week.

Roderick Slade is charged with property damage stemming from the incidents Friday afternoon in the 100 block of East Piedmont Avenue.

Police used their in-car surveillance systems to identify Slade as the culprit.

Slade is in the Durham County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
