Sheriff Hubert A. Peterkin said someone shot Chad Blanks in the back at a home in the 600 block of Goose Pond Road.

It happened about 2:40 p.m. Monday.
Blanks died on the way to the hospital.
Investigators believe the crime could be drug related.
