Pedestrian struck, killed in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE

It happened around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say 70-year-old Hensa Pfieffer, of Morristown, N.J. was trying to cross the road when she was hit by a car.

Pfieffer was staying at the Fairfield Inn with her daughter. She and her daughter tried to cross Cedar Creek Road to get to the Ruby Tuesdays restaurant. Her daughter made it safely across.

The driver, 20-year-old Diana Roy, of Fayetteville, was not injured.

It is not known yet if Roy will face any charges.
