Republican North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory has seen a similar slide. In April, he was at 46 percent. The latest Elon poll has him at 33.

The news is even worse for Congress. It's now below 9 percent - the lowest ever approval rating for Congress in Elon poll history.

The North Carolina General Assembly is doing a bit better. Its approval rating sits at just under 32 percent.
