A new Elon University poll shows North Carolinians are largely dissatisfied with their elected officials.

President Obama's approval rating in the state has been steadily sinking. In February, 47 percent gave him a thumbs up. That now sits at 37 percent.

Republican North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory has seen a similar slide. In April, he was at 46 percent. The latest Elon poll has him at 33.

The news is even worse for Congress. It's now below 9 percent - the lowest ever approval rating for Congress in Elon poll history.

The North Carolina General Assembly is doing a bit better. Its approval rating sits at just under 32 percent.
