Troopers told ABC11 that Gabriel Galicia was riding a bicycle against traffic on N.C. Highway 39 near Creech Johnson Road just before 7 p.m. when he crossed in front of a car.

The driver could not avoid hitting Galicia, who suffered minor injuries.
He was taken to WakeMed.
The driver will not face charges.
